Astroverse Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Astroverse. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Astroverse: Dating App mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by SuperX Buildd Technology LLP ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Definitions

  • Application: Refers to Astroverse, the mobile software program provided by the Company.
  • Company: SuperX Buildd Technology LLP, registered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
  • Services: All features, functionality, content, and services provided through the Application.
  • User / You: Any individual who creates an account, accesses, or uses the Services.
  • Content: Any text, images, photos, videos, audio, or other materials uploaded, shared, or transmitted through the Services.
  • Premium Services: Subscription-based features and enhancements available for purchase.
  • Virtual Items: Consumable in-app items such as Boosts and Nudges that provide temporary or one-time benefits within the Services.
  • Community Guidelines: The rules and standards governing user behavior and content on the platform, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Astroverse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SuperX Buildd Technology LLP. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease using the Services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notifications or email at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. User Eligibility

To use Astroverse, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
  • Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • Account Registration: You must complete the registration process and provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Single Account: You may only maintain one active account at any time. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
  • Compliance: You must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Eligibility to Marry: You represent that you are legally eligible to marry or enter into a committed relationship per the laws of your jurisdiction.
  • No Prior Bans: You must not have been previously banned or removed from Astroverse or any affiliated services for violating these Terms or Community Guidelines.

Optional Verification: Astroverse offers optional identity verification and face liveness verification features. While not mandatory for account creation, completing verification may improve your profile visibility, match quality, and trustworthiness on the platform. See Section 9 for details.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel subscriptions at our sole discretion if we believe you do not meet these eligibility requirements or have violated these Terms.

4. User Accounts and Security

4.1 Account Creation

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful, and complete registration information.
  • Maintain and promptly update your information to keep it accurate and current.
  • Create only one account (duplicate accounts are prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts).
  • Not create an account on behalf of another person without authorization.
  • Not use the identity, likeness, or photos of another person.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account, whether authorized or not.
  • Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use or security breach at support@astroverseapp.com.
  • Not sharing your account credentials with any third party.

4.3 Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we detect suspicious activity, Terms violations, Community Guidelines violations, or fraudulent behavior. See Section 15 for details on termination and Section 15.4 for the appeal process.

5. Acceptable Use, Prohibited Conduct, and Community Guidelines

5.1 Acceptable Use

Astroverse is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use to facilitate meaningful connections between individuals seeking romantic relationships or marriage. All use of the Services must comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users, whether on or off the platform.
  • Post, share, or transmit offensive, obscene, pornographic, or explicit content.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Use the Services for any illegal activities, including solicitation, fraud, or money laundering.
  • Upload content containing viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
  • Scrape, data mine, or use automated systems (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access the Services.
  • Solicit money, financial information, or passwords from other users.
  • Engage in commercial activities, advertising, or promotional campaigns without our written consent.
  • Post discriminatory content based on race, religion, gender, caste, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • Violate any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
  • Share private conversations, screenshots of chats, or other users' personal information without their consent.
  • Use the platform to promote or engage in political campaigning, religious proselytizing, or ideological recruitment.
  • Create fake or misleading profiles, including using AI-generated images as profile photos.

5.3 Content Standards

All profile content, photos, messages, and other user-generated content must be appropriate, respectful, and compliant with our Community Guidelines. We use both automated systems (including AI-powered photo moderation) and human review to enforce content standards. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards without notice.

5.4 Community Guidelines

Our Community Guidelines provide detailed standards for acceptable behavior, content, and interactions on Astroverse. The Community Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms by reference and are available within the App. Violations of the Community Guidelines may result in:

  • Removal of offending content
  • A warning on your account
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account

We may take action on your account based on conduct that occurs both on and off the Astroverse platform, including but not limited to harmful behavior during in-person meetings with other users, interactions on other messaging platforms with users you met through Astroverse, and any conduct that threatens the safety of our community.

6. Content Ownership and License

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Astroverse. However, by uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to:

  • Use, reproduce, modify, adapt, and display your content in connection with the Services.
  • Display your profile and content to other users as part of the matchmaking functionality.
  • Use your content for marketing, promotional, and research purposes (anonymized when appropriate).

This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where your content has been shared with other users and they have not deleted it, or where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

6.2 Our Intellectual Property

The Astroverse Application, including its design, features, algorithms (including our astrological matching algorithms), source code, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property, is owned by SuperX Buildd Technology LLP and protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of our Services.

7. Premium Services, Virtual Items, and Payments

7.1 Subscription Plans

Astroverse offers both free and premium ("Pro") subscription tiers. Premium features may include enhanced discovery, advanced filters, additional daily profile recommendations, Nudges, Boosts and other enhancements. Subscription terms, pricing, and included features are subject to change with notice. Current subscription options and pricing are displayed within the App.

7.2 Virtual Items (Consumables)

Astroverse may offer Virtual Items for purchase or as part of subscription plans:

  • Boost:Temporarily increases your profile visibility in other users' discovery feeds.
  • Nudge: Sends a highlighted like with an optional message to a user, ensuring your profile stands out.

Virtual Items are consumed upon use and have no cash value. Virtual Items cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. Any Virtual Item balance shown in your account does not constitute a real-world balance or reflect any stored value. Unused Virtual Items included in a subscription plan may not carry over between billing periods unless explicitly stated.

We reserve the right to modify, manage, regulate, control, or eliminate Virtual Items at our sole discretion. We shall have no liability to you or any third party for the exercise of such rights.

7.3 Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as selected.
  • Prices are displayed in INR (Indian Rupees) or your local currency and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • You authorize the respective app store to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees until cancelled.

7.4 Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

To cancel your subscription:

  • On iOS: Open the Settings app on your device → Tap your name → Subscriptions → Select Astroverse: Dating App → Tap Cancel Subscription. Alternatively, open the App Store → Tap your profile icon → Subscriptions → Astroverse: Dating App → Cancel. For more details, visit Apple's support page.
  • On Android: Open the Google Play Store → Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Select Astroverse: Dating App → Cancel subscription. For more details, visit Google's support page.

Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but does not provide a refund for the current billing period. You will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period.

Simply deleting the Astroverse app from your device does NOT cancel your subscription. You must follow the cancellation steps above.

7.5 Refund Policy

All sales are final. Refunds are governed by the refund policies of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as applicable. For billing errors or technical issues preventing service delivery, you may contact us at support@astroverseapp.com within 7 days of purchase, and we will assist you in resolving the issue through the respective app store.

8. Referral Program

8.1 Program Overview

Astroverse offers a referral program ("Referral Program") that rewards eligible users for inviting new members to join the platform. By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to the terms set forth in this Section in addition to all other applicable Terms.

8.2 Eligibility

To participate in the Referral Program and receive rewards, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must have a valid, active Astroverse account in good standing.
  • You must not have an active Pro subscription at the time the referral reward is processed. Users with active paid subscriptions are ineligible to receive referral rewards.
  • The referred individual must be a new user who has never previously registered on Astroverse.
  • The referred individual must successfully complete all required onboarding steps to qualify as a successful referral.

8.3 Reward Structure

Referral rewards are granted to the referring user only; the referred individual does not receive any reward under this Program. Reward amounts and structures are determined by the Company and may vary based on factors including total platform user count, the gender of the referred user, and promotional periods.

Current reward details are displayed within the App's referral section. Each referral reward may include, for the duration of the reward period, promotional benefits such as Nudges, Boosts, and Revives.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Referral Program, including reward structures and eligibility criteria, at any time without prior notice.

8.4 Reward Accumulation and Limits

Referral rewards may be accumulated up to a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days of Pro access. Upon reaching this cap, any additional referral rewards will not be credited until the accumulated reward period is utilized. Once the 30-day cap is reached and the accumulated days are consumed, the cap resets, allowing you to accumulate up to another 30 days through subsequent referrals.

Referral rewards cannot be combined with or added to an existing paid Pro subscription. If you purchase a Pro subscription while accumulated referral rewards remain unused, the referral rewards will be revoked and the paid Pro subscription will be applied.

8.5 Prohibited Conduct and Fraud Prevention

The following activities are strictly prohibited under the Referral Program:

  • Creating multiple accounts or fictitious accounts to generate referral rewards.
  • Referring yourself using alternate identities, devices, or contact information.
  • Colluding with others to fraudulently generate referrals or manipulate the Program.
  • Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to generate referrals.
  • Any other activity that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be fraudulent, deceptive, or contrary to the spirit of the Program.

We employ verification mechanisms, including but not limited to phone number verification and device fingerprinting, to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. If we determine that you have engaged in any prohibited conduct, we reserve the right to void any pending or credited referral rewards, suspend or terminate your account, and pursue any other remedies available under these Terms or applicable law.

8.6 General Provisions

Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. We reserve the right to verify the validity of any referral before crediting rewards. Processing of referral rewards may take up to 48 hours following successful completion of the referred user's profile.

The Referral Program is subject to availability and may be limited, modified, or terminated at our sole discretion.

9. Verification Services

9.1 Overview

Astroverse offers optional verification features designed to enhance platform trust and user safety. These features are not mandatory for account creation or use of the Services, but completing verification may result in improved profile visibility, better match quality, and a verified badge on your profile.

9.2 Face Liveness Verification

Face liveness verification confirms that you are a real, live person and that your profile photos are genuinely of you. This feature:

  • Is entirely optional and user-initiated - you can choose to verify at any time.
  • Uses technology from one or more of our verification partners.
  • Involves capturing a face image or video selfie to confirm liveness (that a real person is present) and to match your face against your uploaded profile photos.
  • May generate facial geometry data (biometric information) during the verification process.

Upon successful verification, you will receive a verified badge on your profile visible to other users.

9.3 Consent and Data Handling

By choosing to complete face liveness verification, you consent to the collection and processing of your face data as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 2.3). You may withdraw this consent at any time by requesting deletion of your face data via support@astroverseapp.com, which will result in removal of your verified badge.

9.4 Mandatory Features

We reserve the right to introduce mandatory verification or safety features to our Services at any time. Such features may be designed to enhance the security, safety, or overall trustworthiness of the platform. If a mandatory feature is introduced, we will provide advance notice and updated terms. If you do not wish to engage with a mandatory feature, you may choose to terminate your account.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Astroverse, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, but cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that any transmission of information over the internet carries inherent risks.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

Astroverse may integrate with or link to third-party services, websites, or applications (e.g., payment processors, app stores, analytics providers, verification partners). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third parties.

Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review these documents before engaging with third-party services.

12. Safety and Meeting In Person

12.1 Your Safety Is Your Responsibility

While Astroverse strives to create a safe platform through verification features, content moderation, and community guidelines, we cannot guarantee the behavior, identity, or intentions of any user. You are solely responsible for your own safety when communicating with and meeting other users.

12.2 Safety Recommendations

We strongly recommend the following when meeting someone from Astroverse in person:

  • Meet in public places: Always arrange first meetings in populated, public locations. Never meet at a private residence.
  • Inform someone you trust: Tell a friend or family member about your plans, including who you are meeting, where, and when.
  • Arrange your own transportation: Do not rely on your date for transportation to or from your meeting.
  • Stay sober and alert: Be cautious about alcohol consumption when meeting someone for the first time.
  • Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, leave. Your safety is more important than politeness.
  • Do not share financial information: Never send money or share financial details with someone you have met through the platform.
  • Use in-app communication: Keep conversations within the Astroverse app until you are comfortable sharing other contact information.

12.3 No Background Checks

Astroverse does NOT conduct criminal background checks on users. We do not verify criminal histories, verify marital status, or confirm financial standing of users. The verification features offered (face liveness, identity verification) confirm identity and authenticity but do not constitute a safety guarantee.

12.4 Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness any concerning behavior, harassment, threats, or illegal activity, please:

  • Report within the app using the report feature on any profile or in any chat.
  • Contact us at support@astroverseapp.com.
  • Contact local authorities if you feel you are in immediate danger.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

13.1 No Guarantees

Astroverse provides matchmaking services based on user profiles, preferences, and astrological compatibility algorithms. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, meet someone suitable, or develop a successful relationship. Astrological compatibility scores are provided for informational and entertainment purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for relationship decisions. You are solely responsible for evaluating potential matches and making your own decisions.

13.2 "As Is" Service

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

13.3 User Conduct

We do not conduct criminal background checks on users, verify marital status, or verify financial standing. You are responsible for your own safety when communicating with and meeting people through the Services. See Section 12 for safety recommendations.

13.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SuperX Buildd Technology LLP, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Services.
  • Any conduct or content of other users or third parties.
  • Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data.
  • Any reliance on astrological compatibility scores or matching recommendations.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is less.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SuperX Buildd Technology LLP, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms, Community Guidelines, or applicable laws.
  • Your use or misuse of the Services.
  • Your content or conduct on the platform.
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
  • Your interactions with other users, whether on or off the platform.

15. Account Termination

15.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Accessing Account Settings within the App and selecting "Delete Account."
  • Contacting support@astroverseapp.com.

Upon termination, your profile and personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy (typically within 30 days). If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription - you must cancel it separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (see Section 7.4).

15.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Extended periods of inactivity (12 months or more without login).
  • Requests by law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
  • Technical or security reasons.
  • Operating multiple accounts.
  • Using the platform for commercial purposes without authorization.

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. You will lose access to all matches, messages, and profile data. Any unused Virtual Items or subscription benefits are forfeited. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

15.4 Appeal Process

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal the decision by:

  • Contacting us at support@astroverseapp.com with "Account Appeal" in the subject line.
  • Providing your registered phone number or email address and a description of why you believe the action was taken in error.

We will review your appeal and respond within 15 business days. Appeals are reviewed by a team member who was not involved in the original decision. We reserve the right to uphold, modify, or reverse the original action at our sole discretion. The appeal process does not guarantee reinstatement of your account.

16. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Indian Contract Act, 1872, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

16.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

16.3 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting us at support@astroverseapp.com. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue within 30 days.

16.4 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in Bangalore, Karnataka, in English, by a single arbitrator mutually agreed upon by the parties.

17. Modifications to Services and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice. This includes introducing new features, modifying existing features, changing subscription pricing, or discontinuing certain functionality.

We may also update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or business operations. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. General Provisions

18.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any supplemental terms (including Additional Terms Upon Purchase), constitute the entire agreement between you and SuperX Buildd Technology LLP regarding the Services.

18.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

18.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

18.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, natural disasters, government actions, internet service disruptions, or third-party service provider outages.

18.6 No Agency

Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and the Company. You have no authority to bind the Company in any way.

By clicking "I Agree," creating an account, or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
